Founded by Hope Blalock Pallis, HB Arts is an independent art appraisal, advisory, and art services firm, based in New York City, catering to clients throughout the U.S., specializing in Post-War and Contemporary Art.

Having honed her expertise over ten years in the art world, Hope has worked in galleries in Boston, London, and New York, her international experience leading her from supporting roles to that of director. Hope has worked with Modern, Post-War, Contemporary art, as well as Post-War and Contemporary original prints and multiples. Hope founded HB Arts in 2024 to support art collectors and enthusiasts in managing their collections with the help of a seasoned arts professional. Offering appraisal services, collection management + logistics, project management, and advisory services, there is something to be offered for all types of art owners.

Hope holds a B.A. in Art History from Boston University, has completed the Comprehensive Appraisal Study Program through Appraisal Institute of America, is an Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America, and is Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) compliant through 7.19.2026. An active and passionate participant in the NYC art community, Hope is also a member of ArtTable. Her previous experience includes roles with private dealers, Albemarle Gallery, Pontone Gallery, and Galerie Gmurzynska.
